Thermocouples
We manufacture various styles of thermocouples for the smelting, heat treatment and furnace manufacturing industries. Styles include straight or angled, with single, duplex or triplex elements and numerous cold leg materials and terminal heads. Protective sheath materials include Sialon, Silicon Carbide, laminated Ceramic, Plumbago, Chrome Iron, Cast Iron, Inconel 600 and 601, 253MA, 316 - 310 S/S, Pythagoras GR610, Alsint AL23, Mullite, Sillimantin.
We also manufacture a full range of Lance dip probes, incorporating the MARSHALL type K and N replaceable 8 inch long life chrome iron tips. Applications: specifically designed for non-ferrous metals, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze or salt baths at temperatures to 1300 degrees C.
I.T.S. manufacture various styles of thermocouples and sensors for the petro/chemical industries. The sensors shown are a small example of what we manufacture and supply. Assemblies available with single and duplex elements in numerous OD sizes, insulated or bonded thermocouple junctions, element sheath materials, spring loading for terminal blocks and barrel unions, thermowells - fabricated or machined barstock, screwed or flanged, in various materials, specialty coatings for thermowells, weld on pads, ceramic sheaths, barrel unions - nipples
- and a large range of mounting hardware, terminal head materials: alloy, cast iron, S/S, plastic, bakelite and S.A.A. approved explosion flame proof "Exd".
Thermowells
We manufacture and supply an extensive range of fabricated and machined barstock thermowells. These are available in numerous material grades, construction styles, process and instrument connection threads, flange size and ratings and immersion lengths. A sample of the vast range we can supply for your specific application requirements is pictured opposite.
Standard materials include Brass, 316, 304 S/S, monel, incoloy, 253M, carbon steel and many others. All flanged fabricated thermowells are supplied with forged flanges conforming to Australian, American, British and European standards as specified and are stamped accordingly. All barstock thermowells are subjected to a hydrostatic pressure test to ensure reliability. Extremely critical installations may require further inspection of the metal structure.
Special coatings are available on all thermowells to provide extra protection against specific contact fluids in the process. Coatings include - Unichrome, PVC, teflon, stellite, tungsten carbide, ceramic, lead and others. We can supply thermowells that have been heat treated for your specific application requirements.
