The impeller is of the three bladed type. A drain plug is provided at the bottom of the pump to enable the whole of the pump to be drained. <br><br>SEAL:<br>Mechanical face type, incorporating for standard conditions, a Lead Bronze counterface with Tepelite running face and Buna N rubber sealing bellows. The seal is arranged to be in 50% balance, giving high efficiency of sealing with minimum pressure and thus ensuring long and consistent life. The Lead Bronze counterface and Tepelite running face are ground optically flat during manufacture and the seal is effective immediately after assembly without any necessity for a running-in period. <br><br>PRIMING: <br>Rapid and efficient priming is ensured by the provision of adequate re-circulation passages, ample priming water and a large chamber for the separation of air and water. There are no priming valves or moving parts contained in the priming system and therefore it is virtually impossible for the self-priming characteristic to fail. A simple non-return valve of hard wearing rubber is fitted to the inlet thus ensuring quick and efficient re-priming under all circumstances - including when the pump is working on "snore". <br><br>For firefighting, dewatering, contractors and general pumping duties - the right pump at the right price.
